Deputy Chairman and Managing Director of Noritake Lanka Porcelain Pvt Ltd (NLPL) Yoshinari Shimaya said, “The launch of this Bridal Registry is the result of continuous requests we have had from numerous customers over a long period of time. Very often bridal couples are flooded with gifts they might never use. This is sadly an absolute waste of both money and goodwill. This Bridal Registry, on the other hand, gives couples the chance to indicate specific items of their choice. At the same time it enables guests to be part of a meaningful and appreciated gift.   • Faizal Deva elected President of Mercantile Services Basketball Association (MSBA)

    Colombo. Monday 23 March 2015. Faizal Deva was recently elected President of the Mercantile Services Basketball Association (MSBA). The youngest ever President of the MSBA, Deva has many years of basketball in him. He captained the Commercial Credit Basketball team in 2013 which went on to become the Mercantile Services Basketball Association (MSBA) league tournament Champions. A product of Wesley College Colombo, he played and captained the College basketball team from 1995 to 2002. He also played in the Sri Lanka Schools team in 2002/2003 and represented HSBC Sri Lanka in basketball. “Basketball enjoys tremendous popularity among a very large number of Sri Lankans. There’s both great enthusiasm and a very high morale among those who play this sport.
